For the last 10 years, I’ve been resigned to the fact that my vision was going. I bought stylish glasses and contacts; I can live with that, I have lived with that for a while. Now I’m nearing the big four-oh, although I feel like I am thirty and happy about it. So what changed in my happy little world? I was putting on makeup with my usual brush and trowel, leaning forward over the sink on top of a tall counter. At less than 5ft tall, that is no easy task. So when I slipped doing my Mascara, I was more than just mad. Looking at the black streak running up my forehead was beyond what could handle at that moment. I needed a change! I washed my face, and started the makeup again. I tracked my husband down and let him know that the bathroom designed for normal height people was just not working for me. With a budget of $250.00, I was in serious trouble. What could I do that would make my life easier? I painted the bathroom, got new linens, and then decided I needed a new mirror. I needed something that would accommodate a 6ft and 4’9” person, with out breaking the bank. |

I began my search, and I found mirrors, lots of mirrors. But most were anywhere from $300.00 – $800.00! I needed something a little bit more budget friendly. After searching online, I found the Zadro Next Generation Mirrors. The design is what caught my attention first, then the features, but then I noticed the price! Not only is this product priced well under $150.00, but they have designs to fit almost any décor. I chose the wall mounted unit as I have no hanging plugs in my bathroom, and the install was really simple. This particular unit has three swivel points, giving it a 360 degree range of motion with the double-sided mirror. The unit I picked up also has a dimmer switch; I like to think of it as daytime and evening settings. I can adjust my makeup any time of day with the right lighting, and for you greenies out there, this has an LED light bulb, which is not only long lasting but saves energy as well. Oh, and yes, my husband uses it for shaving too, even though the medicine cabinet is still there, as well as the over the sink mirror which is now framed. Having the Zadro wall mirror installed, I can do whatever I need without my contacts on and see what I am doing without a dangerous balancing act. I highly recommend this mirror and make your bathroom a little safer! |
